Prostate cancer: Prostate cancer is referred as malignant tumor because it is cancerous and moreover it spreads to the various organs in the body. It has metastatic characteristics. Prostate cancer occurs to the cells of prostate gland. These cancer cells have disorder in their life cycle. Prostate cancer occurs due to the unusual growth of the cells in the prostate glands without controlling limit. Mobility of these uncontrolled cells from original state to distant state causes destruction to the adjacent body tissues.

Prostate cancer is a combination of several diseases with different types of causes, symptoms and treatments. Cells are the basic unit of life, they grow and divide into more cells when the body requires them. These cells forms the tissues and then organs, they are the building blocks of the body system. If there is an abnormal growth and division of cells without any controlling limit, then it results in forming malignant tumor (excess tissue) in the prostate gland. Prostate cancer can spread to the other parts of the body like lungs, liver, heart and bones.

Causes of pancreatic cancer: There are no exact answers for this question. And more over this disease is not contagious to spread to others. Many of the researchers identified the risk factors for this disease.

Risk factors for Prostate cancer: Researchers identified some risk factors which increases the chance of occurrence of pancreatic cancer, they are:

Smoking: This is the major activity which causes diseases like lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and many other diseases. So, avoid smoking to protect yourself from occurrence of this disease.
Alcohol drinking: This is the second leading activity which increases the risk factor of causing pancreatic cancer.
Weak immune system: Generally weak immune system in the body opens the door to many diseases. So, try to improve the immune system by taking proper diet and exercise.

Symptoms of prostate cancer
: There will no symptoms during the early stages of its occurrence. And later, after the improvement of tumor in the prostate gland these symptoms arise one by one.

• Jaundice
• Diarrhea
• Muscle spasms
• Nausea and vomiting
• Chest pain
• Abdomen pain
• Blood in the urine
• Burning sensation during urination
• Frequent coughing

So if you find any of these symptoms for longer duration then go for screening test to identify the tumor presence in the body. If the results are abnormal then further tests are taken to diagnose the prostate cancer. By doing the biopsy of the prostate gland, prostate cancer is identified along with its severity. After the identification process of prostate cancer, the following treatments are given to cure it.

Treatments for prostate cancer
:

Curing of this prostate cancer should be done in the early stages before it spreads through out the body. Or else it can’t be cured. Prostate cancer can be treated with surgery, radiotherapy ,chemotherapy and biotherapy.

Surgery: It is the most common treatment for removing cancerous tumor from the prostate gland. Prostate surgery is carried to remove the tumor in the early stages of its occurrence. Surgery will be taken place only if the tumor is located in only one part of the body. During the surgery process the damaged lymph nodes are also removed along with the tumor. During surgery the entire Prostate gland or part of it will be removed if necessary. During some cases, the major portion of the prostate will be removed along with adjacent tissues. The surgery carried for the removal of the entire prostate gland is named as radical or total prostatectomy. This surgery process consists of some potential risks like bleeding, anesthesia, loss of control of urination and impotence.

Chemotherapy treatment: Chemotherapy drugs are called as anti-cancer drugs which are useful in destroying the metastatic prostate cancer cells .There are many types of chemotherapy drugs available in the market for the treatment of this cancer. This treatment process is carried by either pills or through intravascular injections. The anti-cancer drug enters into the bloodstream and travels towards the damaged tissues and destroys the cancer cells. This treatment is given only if other treatments fail to cure this cancer.
Chemotherapeutic drugs attacks the prostate cancer cells by stopping their unusual growth. The nature of this prostate cancer cells were brought to the normal condition by controlling the divisibility of the cells. These drugs are carried in the bloodstream to kill destroy all the cancer cells within short period of time. Chemotherapy is useful in killing cancer cells, avoids spreading of cells to various parts of the body, stops multiple divisions of prostate cancer cells and avoids replacing of non-cancerous cell into cancerous cells. Paclitaxel and dosetaxel are the anti-cancer drugs referred by the oncologists to cure prostate cancer.

Radiation therapy: Radiotherapy is a process for removing cancer cells by using high power x-ray beams. These high energy x-rays are aimed at the cancer affected part in the prostate gland to destroy the cancer cells .The radiation therapy is given to control the growth of cancer causing cells and destroys them entirely. This process is given for 5 to 6 weeks to entirely clear the cancer tissue. Radiation therapy can be taken before and after the surgery process. Impotence and inconsistence are the side effects caused by the excess radiation therapy. This process gives better results than the radical prostatectomy in the early stages.

Hormonal treatment: Hormonal treatment is also called as androgenic deprivation. This treatment involves in stopping the stimulation of the prostate cancer cells by testosterone. They are two way methods in stopping the stimulation of cancer cells they are, surgery and medications. Orchiectomy or a castration is name for the surgery carried in removing of testes. They are two methods in medication process for stopping the stimulation of prostate cells, they are LH-RH agonists and anti-androgenic drugs .LH-RH agonists stops the brain signals to reach the testes and therefore there will be no stimulation of cancer cells. And the other drug anti-androgenic is useful in stopping the production of testosterone production from the testes. By this hormonal methods the cancer cell production is controlled.

Cyrotherapy treatment
: This is a new process evolved in treating the prostate cancer cells. In this process the cancer causing cells in the body are destroyed completely by injecting a freezing liquid through intravascular veins of the prostate glands. The freezing liquid used in this treatment process is nothing but argon or liquid nitrogen. This freezing liquid is directly injected into the prostate glands for the removal of cancer cells. This treatment is given when there is advancement in the prostate cancer. This treatment produces side effects like damage to the urethra and bladder by damaging normal cells.

Prostate cancer can be cured only in the early stages and advancement in this disease causes many risk factors. Prostate cancer cells can be completely eliminated by taking effective treatments which are mentioned above. Get screening test to diagnose the presence of prostate cancer.
