Many Canadians currently get medical treatment in the USA. Where will Canadians and Americans go for health care once our own system is socialized?
My guess is Costa Rica. Many already go there for treatments not approved by the FDA.

i passed the ASVAB and only had to do my physical. it came down to failing my hearing test… i had to write an essay on how i never had a problem with hearing and returning to MEPS and going through the same process at a private hear doctor and being denied… how do i get pass this?

My parents were low-middle class with no health insurance. But when I was young, my parents could afford to take me to see the doctor without breaking the bank. Charity hospitals were common and often run by religious groups. Doctors were the ones profiting from the years they spent in medical school.
Since then, government stepped in and started “regulating” the health care industry. Lawyers jumped in specializing in litigating against the health care industry. Pharmaceutical and insurance companies have been all over doctors and government pushing for reform that worked best for them. Charity hospitals have all but disappeared and now it is the pharmaceutical and insurance companies profiting most from the doctors’ work.
If government intervention into the health care industry has done all this, what makes you think more regulation will help?

I had a friend who got treatments to become pregnant but she said insurance didnt pay for the treatments and she said she spent thousands of dollars, also Do I have to go to a special fertility doctor or can I go to a OBGYN and get fertility pills from them?

In other words, if a Canadian citizen became ill while traveling in the U.S., would Canada’s Health Care System pay for medical care in the US? The Canadian Medicare (another name for Canadian national health insurance) is for all Canadians, regardless of age while the US Medicare system is mostly for US citizens over the age of 65.

There’s nothing worse than a doctor’s receptionist who insists you tell
her what is wrong with you in a room full of patients.
I know most of us have experienced this, and I love the way this old
guy handled it.
An 86-year-old man walked into a crowded doctor’s waiting room.
As he approached the desk, the receptionist said, “Yes sir, what are
you seeing the doctor for today?”
There’s something wrong with my dick,” he replied.
The receptionist became irritated and said, “You shouldn’t come into a
crowded doctor’s room and say things like that.”
Why not? You asked me what was wrong and I told you,” he said.
The receptionist replied, “You’ve obviously caused some embarrassment
in this room full of people. You should have said there is something
wrong with your ear or something and then discussed the problem further
with the doctor in private.”
The man replied, “You shouldn’t ask people things in a room full of
others, if the answer could embarrass anyone.”
The man walked out, waited several minutes and then re-entered.
The receptionist smiled smugly and asked, “Yes?”
“There’s something wrong with my ear,” he stated.
The receptionist nodded approvingly and smiled, knowing he had taken
her advice.”And what is wrong with your ear, sir?”
I can’t p$£” out of it,” the man replied.
The waiting room erupted in laughter.

What Is Good About The New Health Care Bill?

I can only think of the bad: That there will be fewer doctors in medicine because of a drastic paycut, medical records being sent down to washington so the government can decide your treatment, rise in the taxes of the hardworking people, etc.
All I have heard is that this health care reform bill will be terrible for my generation.
Anything good? I’m really interested, maybe I don’t fully understand because I’m just 15.

My daughter is wanting to go to school she was thinking of Medical assisting. Now she is looking more into Medical Billing/Coding. And looking to go Everest College
