I had used this product before, but it took way too long to receive it. I was a little disappointed in that.

We wish we had this in 2005 when our 16 year old kitty Cleo passed away from CRF. When her sister Shorty was diagnosed in Oct. 2005, we were told she might have a month or might have a year. Well, she made it to age 19 1/2 in Sept. 2008 (3 years later!) and we’re sure that Epakitin is the reason. We added the Azodyl last year when we became aware of it, so that may have helped too. We mixed both in with grain-free Wellness brand food to reduce phosphorus and toxin buildup. And NO dry food, big no-no! Good luck, and bless your sweet pootie or woozle.

My dog is a survivor of the pet food recall. This product along with Azodyl has kept his BUN and Creatinine levels stable for over a year. He is feeling good with a good quality of life. I am a nurse and I researched many treatment options for him and the results of this are amazing. It is not a hoax like many other treatments. He responded poorly to the traditional medications which made him ill and he was taken off. He also is on a prescription dog food, homemade food, pet-tinic as an appetite stimulant/vitamin, omega 3 and vitamin E. I would strongly recommend to anyone wanting a longer, healthier and happy life for their pet diagnosed with chronic renal failure. You will just need to make sure calcium level is not high as this product contains calcium

We’ve been giving this to our 12 year old Dachshund along with probiotics from the same manufacturer. Although he has chronic kidney failure, he is doing well. I add this to his special diet that includes low protein kibble and a bit of wet low protein food, a teaspoon of cottage cheese, a 1/4 tsp. of fish oil, an herbal kidney support pill, and he is doing great. The last vet visit his kidney function numbers improved. Don’t be unrealistic though when you buy this product. While it helps dogs and cats, chronic kidney failure is not curable.
