Under Obama’s Health Care Plan, Who Covers The Medical Costs Of Uninsured Adults?

My wife was recently in the ER for a bad case of the flu and ended up walking away with a bill that is almost $1500. Luckily we had insurance to cover most of that. I know that the high cost partly results from those with insurance having to foot the bill for the uninsured, hence the $20 box of kleenex in ERs.
From what I gather, the big difference between Obama and Hillary’s health plans seems to be that Obama mandates insurance for those under 25 whereas Hillary mandates it for everyone. I’m a Obama supporter but I wish he would consider making his plan more universal.
I believe he mandates coverage only for those under 25, and gives a choice of going uninsured if you’re over 25. It seems very unusual to me to have people oppose being required to have health insurance when they have no problem paying for auto insurance.
So with his current plan, wouldn’t the rest of us continue to have to pay for the uninsured 26 year olds? Or am I mistaken?

You are correct. Thats what happens now. You might be interested to know that the hospital Obama’s wife works for charges the uninsured 300% more than the inusured. Why do you think they do that? The government requires that everyone must be seen regardless of their ability to pay and gives these hospitals funds to make up for the non payers. Obamas wife also got a big raise and now makes $600,000 a year, up from $200.000 a year before obama began his campaign.

It’s simple. His health care plan would be paid for by the same people that would pay for it under Hillary: Us taxpayers!
For people that truly cannot afford insurance and cannot work for whatever reason, I don’t have a problem paying for it with my tax dollars. It’s the ones that are able bodied and can work, but decide not to because it’s so much easier to pop out another kid and live off the government that I have problems with.

Why did you use the ER for the Flu?
