Okay, just recently i found out that I have the HPV virus, but one that is quite dormant, because I have no symptoms other than an abnormal pap, however they’re keeping a close eye on me because cervical and uterine cancer run in my family. I recently got my period and this morning I woke up (knowing i was already on my period) and i stood up and the blood poured out. In a matter of about 15 seconds it was all the way down both of my legs and onto the floor. I have horrible cramps, and the bleeding has not calmed down since this morning. I pass large clots, however they are not blood, they are white like tissue. I have pain in my lower left abdomen where I would assume my ovary would be located. What could this be? I have never had a period like this and my sister is going for surgery for her cervical and uterine cancer this month, I dont want to be next!!

I am a RN and my suggestion to you is call your Gynecologist immediately or go to the ER, there are ways to control the bleeding. Concerning the clots you really need to have them checked out. This is not something to mess around with, considering your family history.

That’s a lot of blood. I’d suggest going to the doctor right away. You don’t want to mess with cervical cancer. Get anything abnormal checked out right away, for the sake of your health.
    Good luck okay?

I agree go to your doctor ASAP, or better yet the ER, bleeding like that is NO WAY normal.
