I’m not a health care professional but I really think that Doctors do Not take Lyme disease serious enough. I would just go to your doctor and demand to be treated. The treatment for Lyme disease is just antibiotics, I would try searching the Internet for as much info about the disease and treatment options as possible that way you will be able to go in there and sound like you know what you are talking about and maybe they will take you more seriously.
There is something called EMPIRICAL treatment , look it up .
(For example , when someone has unprotected sex , and their is suspicion that the partner has HIV , this warrants PROPHYLACTIC use of ANTI-HIV chemotherapy , even before the partner is confirmed HIV+ , and way before the person in question could be confirmed HIV+ or – because this takes 6 weeks )
That’s weird, it’s never taken me 4 weeks to get the result of a blood test. Then again I also live in a smaller city.
