Obamacare will have no choice but to ration health care because it does nothing about increasing the number of doctors. In fact it most likely decrease the number of doctors be decreasing their income.
Contrary to popular belief people don’t go into the medical profession because they want to do go for their fellow man, they go into it because of the big bucks.

Everything you have said is true except for the last sentence. Doctors don’t go into the medical field just for the money. People who want to make money would not sacrifice ten years of their lives after college just to save thousands of others. They would either go into business or engineering, which earn similar salaries much earlier. Anyway, Obama’s public plan will have a lot of trouble getting willing doctors to work for them. Remember, doctors are not required to accept the public insurance program. The reason is that the government is already in debt, and if doctors were to switch to this plan, then their reimbursements will be so low that they can barely survive financially. This is what is happening in Canada. When they first started their public plan, patients were getting excellent cheap care, but doctors were being so underpaid. Because of that, the doctors stopped working, and there are so few doctors left in Canada, which result in the long waits for emergency operations. If this happens in the US, then thousands of people will die. Basically, the first thing is that doctor’s incomes will come down. Next, doctors quit. Then, there will be a shortage of doctors. Then, the public plan will be just like the postal service, failing to deliver quality service yet constantly inflating their prices. The Obama Administration refuses to listen to this argument because those people are so ignorant.
Easy, if you listen to the “experts” we are the only Nation that doesn’t have a health care system that is bankrupting the Nation. Any type of government ran program will cause more doctors to leave because of the red tape. Any doctor that has medicare and medicaid patients will tell you it is the government paper work that is worse then the private insurance paper work. Doctors would have less time to see patients because of this and more want to be Doctors would decide on another career that has a better return on investment.
What makes you think that medical care is not rationed now?
Why do you think there are limited medical schools in the USA? Why do you think it is so difficult to be admitted to medical school? Finally, why do all medical schools limit the size the admitted class?
Yes and as the government continues to go in further debt, they will have to ration health care, they can not continue with the tremendous cost.
